Mission and Leadership

The mission of the Erika Kate Hope Alliance is to help ease the emotional, spiritual and financial burdens borne by parents of children with life-threatening heart disease.

The vision is to create a sustainable national community of individuals and organizations working together to extend hope by offering financial, emotional and spiritual care to families experiencing a heart related medical crisis with their child.

Traci Maynard is mom to Erika and Erika’s siblings, Emma, Evan and Ella. Her passion lies in helping others experience God's love in new and unexpected ways. She is Care Director for EKHA providing emotional and spiritual leadership.
Vicki Jones is an administrative assistant and bookkeeper for EKHA.  She has a BA Degree in Business Administration/Management.  For the past 10 years she has stayed home with her three children and has held various volunteer positions at church, school and her kid's activities.
Deb Iliff s the Prayer Director for EKHA.  She is also the Iowa State Prayer Coordinator for Aglow International. She believes God's number one goal for the EKHA prayer ministry, is to create a safe place to come to with the prayer requests of our team and of the families that we serve. Ultimately she believes that shown the love of God, people will be drawn to the saving knowledge of Christ.  She has been married to her husband Frank for 37 years.  They have two daughters and seven grand-children.
Tanya Marx serves EKHA through her efforts with the Young Hope Basketball Academy.  She is a graduate of St. Ambrose University and works in advertising.  She is a proud wife and mother of three young children.
Kristin Hazelett serves as a Care Coordinator for EKHA.  She has a BA in Elementary Education but currently desires to spend her time caring for her 3 children and husband as well as for the families served by EKHA. Her passion for EKHA comes from having her own daughter with a heart condition.
